Human Senses
Food and beverages were once all about taste, taste and only taste. In the past, the industry wasn’t aware that texture, scent, and visual presentation contributed largely to the eating and drinking experience. While it’s hard to believe that a white wine colored red artificially is even hard to identify by the best wine specialists, this is a demonstrated fact.
Today consumers still expect a good taste but also a nice presentation, low calories and a comfortable form factor. One wants to drink as much as wanted on a party and still drive a car. But drinks without alcohol don’t do well in that area because they don’t taste like the real thing. People also would like to eat as much as they want from their favorite ice-cream, but doing so has consequences when it comes to caloric intake. Since there is nothing worse than not being part of the party or not being able to enjoy your favorite food as much as you would like to or even have to experience hunger, Metagination started researching solutions.
Imagine refreshing cocktails without alcohol or high calorie sugar and fruit juice mixes but with clearly recognizable non chemical tastes. Cocktails that would have the looks, the taste and even the aftertaste of alcoholic beverages but don’t contain any alcohol and neither any of the other high calorie ingredients. Now suppose that you would even get the impression of being slightly tipsy on top of it, yet you could drive your car and still have 0% alcohol in your blood. We call them psychotechnic drinks and they are the results from combining knowledge of psychology, biology and human senses interfaces with that of chemistry. Intensive research related to the Exxx numbered substances, as well as quite exotic products from nature set-up to fool our brain could drastically modify the leisure drink industry.
